SANO Handtrucks LLC (“SANO,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.sanohandtrucks.com and our related online store and pages (together, the “Site”), when you buy from us, or when you otherwise contact us, and how we use, share and protect that information.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact and inquiry details — your name, company, job title, email address, phone number, mailing address and the content of your message when you fill out a contact, quote, demo or dealer inquiry form, sign up for our newsletter, or email or call us.
• Order information — billing and shipping addresses, the products you purchase, and order history when you buy through our online store. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Account information — your login credentials and saved addresses if you create a customer account.
• Warranty and service information — product model, serial number, purchase date, dealer and related details when you register a product or request warranty service or repair.
• Dealer information — business details, territory, resale and tax documentation, and similar information if you apply to become or are an authorized SANO dealer.
• Other information you choose to share — for example product reviews, testimonials, survey answers, or photos and videos you send us.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, approximate location derived from it (city or region), browser and device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 3.

Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from authorized SANO dealers and distributors, our parent company and affiliates, trade shows and events where you provide your details, business contact databases, social media platforms when you interact with our pages, and service providers that help us with marketing and analytics.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes, product demonstrations and customer support;
• Process, fulfill and ship orders, take payment, and handle returns;
• Register products and provide warranty, service and repair support, including safety or recall notices;
• Evaluate dealer applications, refer you to a dealer in your area, and manage our dealer relationships;
• Send newsletters, product news and promotional messages where permitted, which you can opt out of at any time;
• Operate, maintain, analyze and improve the Site and our products and services;
• Measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising;
• Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activity;
• Comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations and enforce our terms and agreements.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to:

• Make the Site work — for example keeping items in your cart, keeping you signed in, and securing the Site;
• Remember your preferences — such as form entries and display settings;
• Understand how the Site is used — through analytics tools that report on visits, traffic sources and page performance;
• Support marketing — through tools that connect form submissions and email activity to our customer relationship management system and that help us measure and deliver relevant advertising, including on social media platforms.

The Site also includes content from third parties, such as embedded videos, maps, fonts and social media links. These providers may set their own cookies or collect information such as your IP address when their content loads, under their own privacy policies.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site — including the shopping cart and checkout — may not work properly. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting; because there is no common standard for how to respond to it, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:

• Service providers — companies that perform services for us, such as website hosting and development, e-commerce and payment processing, shipping and logistics, customer relationship management, email delivery, analytics, advertising and IT security. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
• Authorized dealers and distributors — when you request a quote, demonstration, product or service, we may pass your inquiry to an authorized SANO dealer or distributor that serves your area so they can follow up with you.
• Affiliates — our parent company, SANO International, and its affiliates, for purposes such as product support, warranty, and business administration.
• Legal and safety reasons — when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of SANO, our customers or others, or to investigate fraud.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred to the party involved.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Text messaging data is never shared. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See Text messaging (SMS) below.

5. Marketing communications

If you sign up for our newsletter or otherwise agree to hear from us, we may send you emails about products, promotions, events and company news. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link at the bottom of any marketing email or by contacting us using the details below. We will still send you non-promotional messages, such as order confirmations and warranty or safety notices.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to receive text messages from SANO Handtrucks LLC, we will use your mobile number to send messages about your inquiries, quotes, orders, deliveries, service and warranty requests and, where you have separately agreed, promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help; you can also contact us at 470-545-1792 or office@sanohandtrucks.com. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

We do not share, sell, rent or trade SMS opt-in data. Mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging, and the consent you give to receive text messages, will not be shared with or sold to any third parties, affiliates, dealers or distributors for any purpose. The only parties that handle this information are the service providers that deliver our text messages on our behalf, such as our messaging platform and mobile carriers, and they may use it solely to provide that service.

6. Your choices and rights

You may ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
• Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions such as records we must keep for legal, tax, warranty or safety reasons;
• Stop sending you marketing communications.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights, such as the right to opt out of certain sharing of your information for targeted advertising, and the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will honor those rights where they apply to us, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide products and services, support warranty and product safety over the life of our equipment, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes and comply with the law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit on the Site and restricted access to our systems. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for any account you create and contact us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Visitors outside the United States

SANO Handtrucks LLC is based in the United States and the Site is intended for customers in the United States. If you use the Site from another country, your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers and affiliates operate, whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

11. Third-party links

The Site contains links to websites and services we do not operate, including social media platforms, video hosting services and dealer websites. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
